Case 1 Feb 2009

Female European Eagle Owl
Good condition but no longer wanted by owner.

Action
Wormed and moved to established owl breeder north Wales.
Doing well in large breeding avery.

Case 2 June 2009
Female European Eagle Owl
Being kept outdoors in dog travel cage.
Badly underweight and in poor condition.

Action
Broad spectrum anti biotic’s / wormed, when strong enough. controlled diet to rebuild weight. lots of manning once settled.
moved to private handler in Scotland.
Doing well.

Case 3 Aug 2009
Female Harris
Owner no longer able to give appropriate time to bird.
Good condition and fully trained.

Action
Wormed and moved to new home in England.
Now free flying and hunting fur.
Doing well.

Case 4 May 2010
Female European Eagle Owl
Badly under weight and in poor condition.

Action
Broad spectrum anti biotic’s, wormed when strong enough. Controlled diet for weight gain.
Moved to new home, free lofted in large avery.
Doing well.

Case 5  Aug 2010
Young male Harris Hawk
Good condition, no longer wanted by owner.

Action
Wormed and placed in large avery.
Eventually will join flying display team.

Case 6 Sept 2010
Female Goss Hawk
Escapee from a private collection. Large swelling on right leg, suspected car strike or similar.
No other visual Damage. Owner informed.

Action
Damaged leg immobilised, broad spectrum anti biotic’s administered.
Moved to professional specialist vet for treatment.
Still under vet care but all signs are good for full recovery and return to flying status.
